The planning...

We are just a couple of weeks before our Camino gets started! We're excited, anxious, and grateful for such an amazing opportunity to challenge ourselves and to spend time together and in our own heads...
We bought so much equipment, tried it out, returned it when we narrowed our choice of things to carry.
This was our camino list:
Bags-we ended up buying two osprey 36 and 45 L
Two platypus water sacks
Two Columbia SPF 45 shorts and shirts
Two underwear (sport kind)
Two pairs of keen koven boots
4 pairs of socks each from either Darn Tough or Icebreaker
We took our own pair of evening wear (he took a regular cotton underwear and top to sleep on and along John underwear for sleeping and warmth)
I took a pair of warm running pants, a long sleeve running top and cotton underwear)
For warmth ( because we crossed the Pyrenees) I brought my favourite old, brown sweater) and my husband took his inner lining from his Columbia jacket
Our own sandals to change into after we reach the Albergues
Two bed rolls (which we are really thinking we may not even use)
Two silk lining sheets to sleep on
Two European connection
Our camera
Our phones-his could remove the SIM card -mine will be on plane mode all trip
Two notebooks -elementary school types because they are thin and lightweight
Lots of zip lock bags to organize things into
Ear plugs
Eye masks
One plastic water bottle
A small soap
A small scrub
A medical kit with lots of compeed  and second skin
One toilet roll ๐Ÿ˜Š
A sports towel that dries fast
Peppermint oil for muscle pain which works like a charm๐Ÿ˜…
And that pretty much sums up what we will carry
